Program beasiswa untuk Warganegara Indonesia - tingkat master – “Network & Information Security” SM

DAVFI Konsortium [1], melalui Kementrian luar negeri Prancis, melancurkan program beasiswa yang khusus dan  membuka kesempatan bagi mahasiswa yang berasal dari negara Indonesia untuk belajar ke Prancis pada tahun akademik 2012/2013.

Beasiswa ini  ditawarkan bagi para mahasiswa yang mempunyai potensi  ilmiah dan pendidikan  yang kuat, agar dapat melanjutkan pendidikan pada tingkat Master di institusi pendidikan tinggi bernama ESIEA [2] di bidang informasi sekuriti.

Jumlah dana Beasiswa: 10 500 euros/tahun

Cakupan beasiswa: Uang pendaftaran Kuliah(10 225 euros) , uang document(75 euros) , asuransi kesehatan untuk mahasiswa (200 euros).

Hati-hati: biaya hidup, biaya perjalanan, akomodasi, dll, tidak termasuk dalam beasiswa!!!

• Bidang studi:  Informasi Sekurity 
• Nama diploma:  “Network and Information security” (N&IS)  (Master Spesialisasi)

Kriteria untuk pengajuan Beasiswa: Pelamar (warga negara Indonesia) harus  berusia kurang dari 28 tahun maksimal untuk melamar beasiswa ini. Pelamar  harus mempunyai:

• Ijazah sarjana muda dalam bidang Sains Komputer, atau,
• Ijazah sarjana muda Kejuruteraan (dalam bidang Sains Komputer), atau
• Ijazah sarjana muda dalam bidang matematika terapan (Sains Komputer), atau
• Ijazah sarjana master of Sains terapan dengan pengetahuan yang baik dalam bidang Sains Komputer.
• Pelamar harus menguasai bahasa pemrograman misalnya C, Python, Java.
• Berbicara bahasa Inggris lancar (TOEFL : 550 auto IELTS : 6.6)

Prosedur pendaftaran:

• Sila membuat cv yang lengkap.
• Lengkapi dengan dokumen berikut : kopi ijazah ujian nasional, transkrip nilai tahun terakhir ijazah, sertifikat TOELF atau IELTS, serta sertifikat lainnya yang dapat mendukung.
• Membuat surat motivasi yang berisi tujuan melakukan studi tersebut, rencana dana.

Direktur program Master Spesialisasi, Prof. Eric Filiol, akan menyeleksi mahasiswa yang mengajuan permohonan berdasarkan atas CV, prestati studi dan academic, motivasi, rekomendasi, kemampuan bahasa, dll.

TOR Attack Part II - N&IS Class 2010 - 2011

The further developments of our TOR attack will be presented at 28C3 in Berlin.

Oluwaseun Remi-Omosowon from Nigeria will be co-speaker for this event and will present recent results about his spinning attacks and how to apply it to a possible datagram (UDP) version of TOR. He has implemented two libraries (spinning attack code and Ruby lib to automate the recovery of hidden OR [relay bridges]). Moreover he has designed the Google Earth animations which illustrate the whole attack.

New exciting projects will be proposed to the new N&IS 2011 - 2012 class.

The TOR Attack and Students from N&IS 2011 - 2012 Class

Hi to all

The operational cryptology lab has designed a new powerful attack against the TOR anonymity network.
We effectively succeed in taking the control over a significant part of the TOR network bypassing the encryption in a transparent way.

This work will be presented at two major hacking conferences:

• H2HC 2011 in Sao Paulo, Brazil (October 29-30th, 2011).
• PacSec 2011 in Tokyo, Japan (November 9-10th, 2011).

A significant part of this attack has been implemented by two students of the N&IS 2010 - 2011 Class:

• Leonard Mutembei from Tanzania 
• Oluwaseun Remi-Omosowon from Nigeria. He has implemented two libraries (spinning attack code and Ruby lib to automate the recovery of hidden OR [relay bridges]). Moreover he has designed the Google Earth animations which illustrate the whole attack.

All stuff (slides, paper, lib, animations...) will be released by mid-november.
The N&IS students have done an excellent job and we are very proud of their results.


New exciting projects will be proposed to the new N&IS 2011 - 2012 class.

New book on Information warfare and cyberwarfare

We have the pleasure to announce that the book entitled "Cyberwar and Information Warfare" is now available (Wiley Publishing) 

The chapter entitled "Operational Aspects of a Cyberattack: Intelligence, Planning and Conduct" has been written by Professor Eric Filiol and is part of the content taught in our Master program. More aspects are of course covered in the curriculum, including extensive practicing, drill period and operational exercice around a one-week, military-like cyber maneuver.

Have a nice reading of this very exciting book.
